Hi. I am Elizabeth.

Welcome to my blog. I use this little space to chronicle the adventures of the Noel family!

Conversations over Coffee

Conversations over Coffee

Happy Friday! It is a 3-cup-of-coffee-by-11-AM kind of day. Yesterday was crazy busy, and this morning, my guy left at 3 AM to catch a flight, and I couldn't go back to sleep, The kiddos were up by 6:30 and it has been go go go since then.

We are also headed out of town again next week. We are heading down to see Gus' NICU nurses (who are family now), and his birthdad in Florida. We can't wait to see our "extended family". I feel like we have traveled so much this summer, and I have loved every minute! We have 1, maybe 2 more trips after this one! I do love traveling- especially since I am a minivan mom now!

Here are a few things I'm loving this week-

1- Aldi- so I am late to the party, but I have just discovered Aldi. I am not sure where it has been all my life, other than a mile from my house, but that's beside the point. The prices were fantastic and the quality was great. We haven't had anything we didn't like. Our favorite has been a frozen pizza with pepperoni and fresh jalepenos. It has a siracha ranch sauce that is awesome. I mean, we may have had 2 within the last 2 weeks.

2- Nothing to Prove by Jennie Allen- super excited to start reading through this book with my bestie soon. This Jennie Allen book struck me as something that would be super relevant for me right now. I will keep you guys posted on how it is!

4- herbed chicken legs- I made these chicken legs that I found on pinterest last week and they were delightful, and the best part is, I was able to use ingredients from my spice cabinet! Try them out for an easy, budget friendly weeknight meal!

5- new dishes -  About a month ago I was unloading the dishwasher, and dropped 5 of our 8 plates when I went to put them in the cabinet. I am on the hunt for some new dishes, and have found these and these that I love. Now to choose. And if I get new dishes, I will need new flatware to match, right?

6- beach read- When I was at the beach with my girlfriends a few weeks ago, I read The Couple Next Door. It was an easy read, in fact I finished it in about 5 hours. It was suspenseful, and definitely kept my attention. Since we had another beach day, and I needed something to read- I borrowed In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware. I am almost halfway through it, and it is so good. I still haven't figured it out. I love a good suspenseful book thanks to books like The Girl on the Train and Gone Girl. The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware is on my list next. Let me know if you know if any other books I should check out! And if you are looking for a suspenseful beach read- look at the ones above!

7- Speaking of suspense- Have you guys listened to the podcast Up and Vanished? It is about the Disappearance of Tara Grinstead from a small town in south Georgia over a decade ago. I started listening- and caught up over the last few weeks. It is crazy to me that they are still working on this case- and that new developments have come up so recently. I won't spoil anything- but if you are looking for a good podcast- check that one out! I am waiting not-so-patiently for the last 2 episodes of this season to come out.

Have a fantastic weekend, friends!

Until next time...
