Hi. I am Elizabeth.

Welcome to my blog. I use this little space to chronicle the adventures of the Noel family!

Happy 4th of July, friends!

Happy 4th of July, friends!

Happy 4th of July! Hope you are all getting to spend time with family and friends today!

We are staying in, setting up our kiddie pool in the backyard, making good food, and watching fireworks on TV. Dex isn't a huge fan of crowds or  fireworks- or any really loud noises in general, even with his noise cancelling headphones. So rather than fight all of that, we will stay in and watch some pretty awesome fireworks on the TV at a lower volume, and our homebody selves will enjoy every minute.

Now on to the food: I am throwing together some chicken kabobs, with chicken, zucchini, portobellos, red onion and bell pepper. I am marinating them in Tessemae's lemon garlic dressing. Yum!!! We are also grilling some corn, and whipping up a baked potato salad with leftover baked potatoes from last nights dinner.  I am super excited to make strawberry pretzel salad for dessert. I had heard about this goodness, but had never tasted it until a friend brought it to community group. Oh my word- it is so good with the sweet/salty mix. And it looks festive for the 4th too! Lastly, we need something to sip on while watching the fireworks. I am making a Frose' from my favorite Rose' wine.

I will take any excuse to dress for a holiday as well, so I have my red, white and blue ready to go! My little firecracker boys are also all set with their festive attire too!

Enjoy this Independence Day!

Until next time!
