Hi friends!

This week has been crazy good! It was Dex’s birthday week so we have been partying all week! Although, I am just running on fumes, we still have the busy weekend ahead!

Last night, Dex cashed in his birthday gift, and we went to the Braves game and Avett Brothers concert. It was his first concert and that made my heart soar, because I have dreamed about taking my kids to their first concert since I went to my first concert. We had a great time, even though it was a late night! What made it amazing we getting to be a part of the Braves Exceptional Fan program. I contacted them on Monday before we went to the game on Thursday. They helped me with parking, because the parking that came with our tickets is SUPER far from the stadium, and Dex walking that far would equate an exhausted and grumpy kid when we arrived at the stadium. They helped us get closer parking with our handicapped parking pass. They also created a welcome package with a social story, fidget spinner and credentials with our emergency contact info, allergies and things like “loud noises make me uncomfortable”. They gave us a sensory map and a concessions map. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure Dex had the best time at the game. So thankful to Suntrust park and the Braves for thinking of that.

My thoughts on taking Dex to his first concert are coming in a later post- so many thoughts to share! :)

The next few things I want to share with you are an amazing ring light that I have been using for my video calls, and it is fantastic. It plugs in through a usb connector, has a dimmer and a clip to attach to the computer or I have mine attached to the windowsill. It was so cheap on amazon, but it makes a huge difference in the quality of photos and video calls.

I also ordered a new office chair this week. I have been using a vintage chair from the 60s that I love the look of, but it is not comfortable at all. I found the cutest chair at target. I really wanted the pink one, but it was out of stock, and I was desperate- so I ordered the gray one. Which is lovely. I am so excited to sit comfortably at my desk. :) I spend enough time here and I should be comfortable.

The last two things I want to share with you are in the self-care category. One of my favorite bloggers, Poor Little It Girl, shared a charcoal mask that she got for amazon prime day. She recommended it, so I ordered it when it was $10 off on Prime Day. It is the No B.S. peel off charcoal mask. Y’all, it is so good!!!! It is a peel off charcoal mask and it gets everything out of my pores. Like everything. I am definitely going to be using it once a week to keep my pores empty of junk. It’s a great price, and has none of the icky stuff in it!

Do you guys use audible? I have been loving it recently. I love reading, but I can’t find any time to ready currently. I have been using audible for about 2 weeks while I am in the car or in my office working. I have “read” 3 books in that time! I am so thankful that I can still read like I love, but I can multi-task while doing it. I have found the podcast West Cork. Seriously- go get it and download it (only on audible). It’s like Serial meets Downton Abbey, meets Dirty John. It is SO good. I’m about halfway through it and I am hooked.

Well, off to prep for this crazy weekend! Hope your weekend is filled with good things!
